About Art+
Art+ strive to improve the clinical environment at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, to enhance the experience of the children who use it and aid in their care.
Our work revolves around the clinical and sensory needs of young patients. We commission forward-thinking designers, multi-media artists, and landscape architects to develop innovative solutions and create welcoming, comfortable and engaging spaces for children.
We also deliver a programme of engagement activities to further support the wellbeing of patients, their carers and our NHS staff.

How you can get involved
Whether you’re an artist wanting to be part of our programme or just wanting to raise funds, there are several ways you can get involved with Art+. Here is an example of how we work and how you could help us along the way:
Artists
Here at Art+ we pride ourselves on collaborating with leading artists and striving to reinvent perceptions of art in hospitals. We actively commission a range of different art forms and relish the opportunity to involve new artists.
If you are a creative practitioner interested in working with us then please get in touch via email and we will let you know about any projects coming up. We make regular call outs for artists to work with both the hospital environment and workshop programmes. Please also keep an eye on our social media channels for exciting ways to get involved.
Fundraising
There are all sorts of creative ways to raise valuable funds to support our work, from live art, to organising a concert, to donating the proceeds from an exhibition; the only limit is your imagination!
When you fundraise for Art+, you not only raise funds to continue our work at Sheffield Children’s, but also help to change mindsets about the arts. With your support we can continue with projects that prove just how valuable the arts are to the wellbeing and health of our young patients and those who help care for them.
