Augmented Reality app for Burns patients

Art+ and Megaverse created an augmented reality app to support young burns patients, transforming treatment rooms into interactive virtual worlds to ease anxiety and aid healing.

Art+ collaborated with Megaverse to deliver an augmented reality game to support children undergoing treatment for burns-related injuries.

This innovative application changes the patient experience by transforming treatment rooms into virtual environments that children and young people can explore through an iPad.

Rooms are brought to life with immersive Arctic and woodland worlds, designed to reduce stress and anxiety during procedures like wound dressings. Reducing stress hormones has been shown to improve wound healing, which in turn may lessen the development of scarring.
