All eight of the hospital’s defibrillators were replaced to ensure staff had access to the most advanced life-saving equipment throughout the hospital.
Defibrillators

All eight of the hospital’s defibrillators were replaced in 2017 to provide staff with the latest equipment across all areas of the hospital.

Defibrillation is the delivery of lifesaving electrical energy to the heart during an abnormal rhythm or very rapid, erratic beating of the heart.

The new defibrillators provide emergency clinicians with real-time feedback on their chest compressions, which is proven to increase the quality of CPR and improve the chances of saving a patient’s life.
